They say there's a fine line between courage and stupidity.
There's a balance in any decision between the value of forethought and the value of action. To incorrectly choose action is often perceived as stupidity.
But this is a false dichotomy. There's a more useful line to understand - the line between courage and intelligence.
Forethought alone can only take us so far.
When we need to be agile, too much forethought is counter-productive.
At some point, we have to act. To go any further, we have to step across that line and take action.
That's where you change from just being intelligent, to behaving intelligently.
That takes courage.
